The Alaska Conservation Alliance (ACA) is a statewide coalition of over 40 conservation groups & businesses representing over 38,000 individual members.
ACA keeps the Alaska conservation community coordinated by convening strategic planning meetings in May and November each year-and ad hoc around emerging issues-to revise strategies, share information, and strengthen working relationships.
These meetings allow ACA to:
- Improve coordination among conservation groups
- Determine strategic focus for legislative advocacy
- Educate member organizations on legislative activities
- Achieve greater community focus and collaboration
IPC ACA members formed an Issues Policy Council to discuss and decide the organization's priorities regarding legislative work, statewide campaigns, ballot initiatives, polling and other positions. The IPC meets regularly during the Legislative session, and on an as-needed basis throughout the year. IPC also meets at each of ACA's strategic planning meetings in May & November.
